16 Week Two Phase Meet Prep Program: 6 week Preparatory Block + 10 week Peaking/Meet Prep Block
16 Week Two Phase Meet Prep Program: 6 week Preparatory Block + 10 week Peaking/Meet Prep Block
This 16 week training cycle takes lifters through two blocks of training. Basically two programs in one!
The first block is a prepatory block. This block of training is designed for those who want to begin preparing for a powerlifting meet, but have maybe had a recent block of more “abstract” off season training, a brief layoff, or were training in a totally different style and need a preparatory block before peaking for a meet.
So many people think of powerlifting as if they just decide to jump into meet prep, sometimes straight from some weird and goofy offseason training they were playing with, or even from a break. This block of training is designed to set you up for success during a powerlifting meet prep by developing the GPP and generalized strength needed, while being specific enough to serve as either a transition from more varied offseason training, or as building or regaining a base before prep.
The second block is a 10 week prep guiding you all the way into the meet and focuses on increased specficity.
With this program you get
Everything you need from a training perspective to prepare for your meet, including a block to prepare you for a meet prep!
64 Total Workouts
3 primary sessions per week, and one optional session per week

General Supplement Suggestions
This program was written for an advanced powerlifter preparing for a raw meet who has experience using RPE to guide intensity. It is also suitable for intermediate and some beginning lifters. Intensity in this program is guided by both percentage suggestions and RPE to allow for cross referencing to
1) Help guide one through “autoregulation”
2) Help teach lifters “autoregulation”
3) Help lifters dial in the most accurate intensity possible without specialized equipment or a professional doing it for them.
